ग्राहक कोण गुगल का आपण ?

मानवी मेंदूकडून आता अधिक हुशारीची अपेक्षा ठेवू नका.मेंदूची क्षमता घटण्याचे कारण म्हणजे माहितीवर प्रक्रिया करण्याचे मेंदूचे काम आता ‘गुगल’ने आपल्या हाती घेतले. मेंदूपेक्षा वेगाने व कार्यक्षमतेने गुगलकडून माहिती मिळते. गुगल ही मानवी मेंदूचीच ‘मिरर इमेज’ म्हणता येईल. जगभरातील अब्जावधी वेब पेजेस क्षणार्धात धुंडाळून आपल्याला हवी ती माहिती त्वरित देणारे अलगोरिथम सर्जी ब्रीन व लॅरी पेज यांनी तयार केले. गेल्या सात वर्षांत गुगलने मानवी मेंदू पूर्ण कब्जात घेतला आहे. व्हर्जिनिया विश्वविद्यालयातील शिवा वैद्यनाथन यांनी ‘द गुगलायझेशन ऑफ एव्हरीथिंग’ असे पुस्तकच लिहिले असून आपल्यावरील गुगलच्या प्रभावाकडे गंभीर धोका म्हणून पाहावे, असे सुचविले आहे. आपल्या आवडी, आपले कल, आपले विचार, आपल्या भावना, आपले राग-लोभ, थोडक्यात आपले म्हणून जे काही म्हणता येते त्या सर्वावर गुगलचा प्रभाव स्पष्ट दिसतो. आजची तरुण पिढी गुगलला धरून जगते. आपण गुगलचे ग्राहक नाही तर गुगलने आपल्याला प्रॉडक्ट केले असून हे प्रॉडक्ट (म्हणजे आपल्या आवडीनिवडी) विकून गुगल अब्जावधी डॉलर्स कमविते, असा वैद्यनाथन यांचा युक्तिवाद आहे. मेंदूचे काम पूर्णपणे संगणकाच्या हाती गेले की त्याचे भवितव्य काय, असा तत्त्वज्ञानातील प्रश्न यातूनच निर्माण होतो. मेंदूची खरी कार्यक्षमता माहितीच्या व्यवस्थापनात वा स्वतचा स्वार्थ भागविणारे काम करण्यात नाही, तर विश्वाच्या अंगणात सर्व इंद्रियांनी समरसून जगण्यात आहे.

TRUE FRIENDSHIP

True friends sometimes emerge as the most important people in our lives. They would be influential in one way or the other. They would assure companionships during the thick and thin of life, even when the rest of the world is against us. The unscathed beauty of friendship is treasured and cherished by many people around us. The essence of true friendship is captured by many poets around the world.

I am trying to described friendship by using words, in a very poetic and beautiful manner.

TRUE FRIENDSHIP 

Friendship is something to hold on to
But for me that's not the case
Cause I don't feel I need to keep
Something that can't be erased

I am sure of what I have
Cause with you I have no doubt
For what we've built, can't ever fail
It's what I care about

I find it hard to describe
This thing that we share
Especially when there's nothing else
That ever could compare

Others always know
That together we will be
For there can never be another
"U and Me"

Those two words, known all over
Might as well be one
Cause without U, there is no Me
I'm sorry, it just can't be done

For you're the "U", and I'm the "S"
And forever that will be
Cause together we make "US", and so
You complete me!
